Fluid Interaction

As this paper explains, “Being in the Flow” is a way to express when the user is able to work and concentrate in task at hand without interruptions. For an interesting and entertaining read about how interfaces get in the way of the user, you can download and read the short essay “In the Beginning was the Command-Line” by Neal Stephenson.

NoteLens is a simple note taking application that has been designed taking “Being in the Flow” ideas (as 5 “principles” described in the paper), and allow the user to focus on just note taking and nothing else, as the interface does not get in the way of the user. The interface does away with the “save” feature and even naming the notes by automating it and providing a fast search engine. Simple yet effective.
