This website contains all the information you will
need to enable you to use the Virtual Environments
with someone with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. There
are two scenarios, a Bus and a Cafe in which the user
can do different tasks and learn about the most polite
action in that situation.
Install: Download and install the software
onto your computer following the instructions.
Running VEs: Find out how to set up and use
the learning software.
Facilitator Materials: Additional materials
to help you use the software with someone with ASDs.
Before your first use, go through the tutorial so
you know your way around the program. Download worksheets
in pdf/Word doc format to print off and use. Print
or save screenshots of the software to refer to while
at home or out and about, to help generalisation of
learning to real buses and cafes. Read examples of
real dialogues with students with ASDs and find out
how the software was used in order to talk about social
actions.
